Proposals for the telescopes on Mt. Locke are accepted for the 2.7m, 2.1m and 0.8m telescopes. The 0.9m telescope is not currently scheduled via the TAC process. Proposals are submitted via the web, using the following proposal forms:

McDonald Proposals Online Submission

Requests for observing time at McDonald Observatory are now accepted through our online form at hydra.as.utexas.edu/mtlocke/. Users can access the system to prepare proposals at any time. Submissions are accepted concurrently with Request for Proposals, two weeks prior to the posted deadline.

Texas share HET Phase I Online Submission

Proposals for the HET are submitted via the web, with the proposal forms at http://hydra.as.utexas.edu/. Accounts on the system are user assignable. Proposers for the UT share of the HET must have a UT Austin Principal Investigator. 

Requests for observing time on the HET, against the Texas share, are now accepted through our online form only. The most recent LaTeX template can be found on page 4 of the web form.

Users can access the online system to prepare proposals at any time. Submissions are accepted only during the 3 week period preceding each trimester due date.
